Mr. James Jimenez, age 46, of La Porte, IN, died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at American Metal Products Corp. in La Porte, IN. He was born November 23, 1959, in Hammond, IN, to Hector Jimenez and Mary Ortiz Jimenez. Preceded in death is his father, Mr. Hector Jimenez. Mr. Jimenez has lived in the LaPorte, area for eight years, coming from Hammond, IN. On April 9, 1977 in Hammond, Indiana, he was married to Elvira Cantu, who survives. Mr. Jimenez was employed by AMPCOR He Loved his grandchildren and his family. Surviving is his wife Mrs. Elvira Cantu Jimenez; of LaPorte, IN, One Daughter, Mrs. Sonia Kidd of La Porte, IN, Two Sons, Mr. James Jimenez of Michigan City, IN, Mr. Robert Jimenez of Michigan City, IN, Five Sisters, Mrs. Irene Martinez of Hammond, IN, Mrs. Diane Vargas of Griffith, IN, Mrs. Alma Lara of Hammond, IN, Mrs. Delia Vince Vela of Hammond, IN, Mrs. Norma Michele Mireles of Highland, IN, Three Brothers, Mr. Hector Jimenez of Griffith, IN, Mr. Darrio Jimenez of Hammond, IN, Mr. Randy Jimenez of Hammond, IN, Three grandchildren, Hailey Jimenez, Jasmine Kidd, Gabrielle Jimenez. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Thursday, April 13, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 12:00 PM Thursday, April 13, 2006 , with Rev. Ronald Brauer officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
