Jacob D. Lewis February 18, 1999-September 12, 2017 Jacob D. Lewis, 18, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday September 12, 2017. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. He was born February 18, 1999 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of James Lewis and Dawn (Harness) Lewis. Jacob enjoyed going to the beach, museums and studying history, he loved other countries cultures. He also enjoyed going on drives and listening to music with his fur babies, Chibi and Ziboo. He had a humanitarian heart, he enjoyed helping people that couldn't help themselves, he was wise beyond his years, and was a good conversationalist. Jacob is survived by his parents, James and Dawn Lewis of LaPorte, brother, James Lewis, Jr.; twin-brother, Joey Lewis both of LaPorte; grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins; best-friends, Alexis Cantrell, Olivia Bull, and Sydnie Cornett. Jacob was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, David Sanchez Sr., and Barry Lewis, Sr. Jacob Daniel, until we see you again, we love you so much! Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Monday, September 18, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday September 18, 2017 at 10:00 am with Pastor JoEllyn Chadwick officiating.
