Mr. Jack L. Keller, age 59, of La Porte, Ind., died Saturday, November 29, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born on May 30, 1949 in LaPorte, Indiana, to the late Leon D. Keller and the late Gladys C. "Peggy" Johnson Keller. He was a life-long resident of LaPorte, Indiana Mr. Keller was a Vietnam Veteran, receiving the Purple Heart, after being wounded in action and disabled due to injury. He was a life-long member of the VFW of LaPorte and American Legion Post #83 of LaPorte. On December 2, 2000 in LaPorte, Indiana he married Rosalia Carter who survives. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Rosalia Carter Keller of LaPorte, Ind.; Two Step-Daughters, Helen Sookradge of Michigan City, Ind., Donna Pace of Michigan City, Ind.; One Step-Son, Joseph Pace of La Porte, Ind.; Four Step-grandchildren, Jacqueline, Joseph, Jessica and Joshua Sookradge; Three Brothers, Leon "Sonny" Keller, Jr. of La Porte, Ind., Walter "Butch" L. Keller of La Porte, Ind., Larry Keller of La Porte, Ind. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded by his parents and sister-in-law, Helen Keller. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2008 and from 10:00 AM Thursday, December 4, 2008,, until time of service.. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Rodrick Hoffman, officiating. Burial will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. A Military Service will be conducted at the Pine Lake Cemetery by the V.F.W. and American Legion Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Family of Jack L.
