Jack Gilbert

Mr. Jack E. Gilbert, age 49, of 22 S. Wozniak Rd., La Porte, Ind., died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at 2:59 a.m. at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was the born May 22, 1955 to Leonard Gilbert and the late Pauline Trumeter Gilbert-Corbet, and had lived here for 6 years coming from Denison, Iowa. Mr. Gilbert was employed by Local #81 Labor Union. He enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, guitar playing. He Served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. He is also survived by his One Daughter, Rachel Gilbert of Glidden, IA; One Son, Mr. Levi Gilbert of La Porte, Ind.; Two Sisters, Mrs. Colleen Koerperich of Hiawatha, Kansas, Mrs. Annette Campbell of Saint Joseph, Mo.; Two Brothers, Mr. Dan Gilbert of Salina, Kansas., Mr. Jerry Gilbert of Mapleton, IA; and his former wife Mrs. Laurie Gilbert, of Glidden Iowa. He is preceded in death by his mother Pauline Corbet and Step-father Bud Corbet. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday, May 13, 2005. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 5:00 PM Friday, May 13, 2005 , Rev. Jeff Bibb officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Jack E. Gilbert.
