Irene Gladden

Mrs. L. Irene Gladden, age 95, of Rolling Prairie, Ind., died Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at her residence in Rolling Prairie, Ind. She was born February 19, 1911 in LaPlace, IL. to the late Peter Probst and the late Alice Roberts Probst. She has lived most of her life in the LaPorte area. Mrs. Gladden was a homemaker and was a member of Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church. She was also enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking. She is a 1929 graduate of Hanna High School. On June 30, 1934 in Crown Point, IN she married Ernest R. Gladden who preceded in death September 3, 1990. She is survived by her One Daughter, Mrs. Marcia Sheridan of Granger, Ind.; Three Sons, Ronald Lee Peggy Gladden of La Porte, Ind., Gregory Alan Gloria Gladden of Lexington, Ind., John Ray Cheryl Gladden of Lafayette, Ind.; Fourteen grandchildren, and Twelve great-grandchildren. she is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Two Daughters, Joan A. Gladden, Carol Ann Strauch; One Son, Robert E. Gladden; Five Brothers; and Three Sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, December 3, 2006 and Monday from 9:30 AM until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:30 AM Monday, December 4, 2006, Rev. David Tripp officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Prairie Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, Ind.
