Ina Collings

Mrs. Ina Mae Collings, 85, of LaPorte, Indiana, died Friday January 15, 2010 at the LaPorte Hospital. She was born March 17, 1924 in San Pierre, Indiana, the daughter of Louellen Swartzell and Lucy Bragg Swartzell. Ina Mae was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Chapel United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Moose Lodge #0935 of Michigan City, Moose Heart, and a honorary member of the American Legion Aux. She loved to cook, sew and spend time with her family. On November 11, 1944, in Durham, NC, she married Wayne Collings who preceded in death March 9, 1995. She is survived by her two daughters Cheryl David Workman of Indianapolis, IN, Sharon Kenneth Boilini of LaPorte, IN; two sons Gary Patricia Collings, Robert Collings both of La Porte, IN; seven grandchildren Vincent Workman, Michael Workman, Ara Workman, Joshua Boilini, Tiffany Collings, Travis Collings, Haley Collings; two great grandsons; three sisters Alice Martin, Tressa Colton both of Kouts, IN, and Leona Pick of New Market, IA. Ina Mae was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Brad Boilini, two sisters and two brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Salem Chapel United Methodist Church from 9:30 am until time of the service. Services will be held at Salem Chapel United Methodist Church, Wednesday January 20, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Robert Raschka officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Chapel United Methodist Church, 2802 E. St. Rd. 4, LaPorte, IN. 46350.
