Hulah Davis

Mrs. Hulah M. Davis, age 73, of 1709 "A" St., La Porte, Ind., died Monday, September 19, 2005, at 12:30 AM at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born February 3, 1932 in Chattanooga, TN to late Elmer Dyer and the late Annie Graves Dyer. She has lived in the LaPorte area since 1950 coming from Rossville, Georgia. Mrs. Davis was a Homemaker. She enjoyed playing bunko, bowling, puzzles, making porcelain dolls, and reading. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. On March 17, 1951 in LaPorte IN. she married William J. Davis who survives. Also surviving are One Daughter, Mrs. Deborah Buss of La Porte, Ind.; One Son, Mr. Michael Jeanette Davis of Milwaukie, Ore.; Five grandchildren; Two great-grandchildren; One Sister, Mrs. Almeada Kenneth Kittoe; One Brother, Mr. Dwight Sue Dyer of La Porte, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents; One Twin Brother Billy Dyer; and One Sister, Barbara Joan Allen. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, September 22, 2005 and Friday September 23, 2005 from 9:00 AM until time of the service. The funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, September 23, 2005, Rev. Jeff Zigler officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
