Mr. Howard Henry Miller, 99, of 57200 Pear Rd., South Bend, and formerly of Crumstown Trail, North Liberty, died Thursday, August 5, 2004, at 12:10 a.m. at Miller?s Merry Manor in New Carlisle. He was born June 20, 1905, in North Liberty, to Fred and Kjestine Miller, and had lived all of his life in the Mill Creek area. Mr. Miller retired from Indiana Moulding in LaPorte in 1970. He previously worked for the Farm-Bureau Co-op in St. Joseph and LaPorte counties, and worked at the family farm on Crumstown Trail. He was a long-time member and deacon Emeritus of Mill Creek Baptist Church. On May 31, 1941, in Mill Creek, he married Florence Belle Stombaugh, who preceded him in death, October 1, 2001. Also surviving are one daughter, Donna Belle Chuck Williams, of Lebanon, Ind.; two sons, Dallas Howard Karen Miller of Marietta, Ga., and Jerry Myron Marge Miller of South Bend; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. one sister, Martha Alice Wilson of Phoenix, AZ.; Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters, Dora Lichtenbarger, Ida Worthington, and Maggie Milliken, Husband and Parents. The funeral will be Monday August 9, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Friends may call at Haverstock Funeral Home Sunday August 8, 2004 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at the church Monday from Noon, until the service. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek.
