Hilma March

Mrs. Hilma A. March, age 90, of Elkhart, Ind., died 2:10 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing in Goshen, Ind. She was born May 31, 1917 in Chicago, Ill. to the late Antonio Borgo and the late Elizabeth Razzato Borgo. She moved to LaPorte, Ind. after retirement and resided her for 24 years before moving to Elkhart where she has lived for the last 14 years. Mrs. March was the owner and operator of Mohawk Cleaners in Chicago for 30 years and retired in 1972. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was a member of Center Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. Fire Belles. On February 25, 1945 in Chicago, Ill. she married James March who preceded in death on November 12, 1993. She is survived by her Two Daughters, Mrs. Sharon M. Jeffery Stine of Elkhart, Ind., Mrs. Karon M. Rick Steerzer of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; One Son, Mr. David J. Sue March of Fort Myers Beach, Fla.; Five grandchildren, Dana March, Chris March, Justin Stine, Regan Kralovec, Grant Steerzer; One great-grandchild; and One Sister, Mrs. Ida Loser of Markham, Ill. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; Two Sisters; Louise Pettenon, Angeline Carollo; and One Brother, Anthony Borgo. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM CST Friday, February 22, 2008 and from 10:00 AM to 12:45CST PM Saturday. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 PM CST Saturday February 23, 2008 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. Memorial contributions my be made to the St. Peter Catholic Church for a mass in honor of Hilma March or to the St. Joseph County Humane Society.
