Henrietta C. Felker June 7, 1938-December 18, 2015 LaPorte, IN Henrietta Felker age 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Felker; children, Carl 'Buck' (Paula) Felker Sr. and Curt (Brenda) Felker; grandchildren, Courtney (fiancée Charles Schoof) Felker, Carl Felker Jr. and Mariana (Derek) Cantrell; great grandchildren, Jacynda and Joseph Cantrell; siblings, Shirley (late Jim) Kindig, Coral Miller and Kathy (Rick) Kennedy; many nieces nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Hank and Corabelle Robbins; siblings, Selma Zimmerman, Norma Foster and Hank 'Sonny' Robbins; granddaughter, Andrea Felker and grandson, Nicholas Felker. Henrietta married the love of her life, Joe Felker on June 10, 1956 in Michigan City, IN. She and her husband volunteered making rosaries for Our Lady of Rosary Makers Society for over 20 years. She was a very giving person to all and nobody left her presence feeling 'unloved' or 'hungry'. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crafting, playing games with children and cooking all sorts of family favorites including 'Baked Cheese'. She often gave cooking lessons to the youngsters with her secret ingredient of 'love'. You knew you were dearly loved if you were threatened with the 'wet noodle lashing'! Henrietta was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, IN with Pastor Violet Smith officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral chapel.
