Helen Ulrich

Mrs. Helen Lou Hix Ulrich, age 72, of La Porte, IN, died Friday, July 21, 2006, at her Residence in La Porte, IN. She was born July 3, 1934 in Sullivan, Indiana, to Harlen Hix and Blanche Dudley Hix, who has preceded. Also preceded in death are two sisters, June and Nina, and two brothers, Junior, and Don. and a son, Greg Ulrich, preceded June 14th 1968. Mrs. Ulrich has lived in the area for 64 years, coming from Sullivan, IN. On March 31, 1953, in LaPorte, IN, she was married to Ron Ulrich, who survives. Mrs. Ulrich was employed by LaPorte Herald Argus, in the Circulation Dept., She retired in 1993, she was a Associate Member of the Polish Falcons #564, in LaPorte. She enjoyed her grandchildren, and she was very family oriented. Surviving is her husband Mr. Ron Ulrich; of LaPorte, IN, One Daughter, Mrs. JeriRonnie Metheny of La Porte, IN, One Son, Mr. GarryEleanor Ulrich of Union Pier, Mich. Two Sisters, Norma Strauss of La Porte, IN, Mrs. Thelma Terry Klernent of La Porte, IN, Five grandchildren, Three great-grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, July 24, 2006, and from 9:00 AM Tuesday July 25, 2006 until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 25, 2006 , with Rev. Larry Trueblood officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in La Porte, IN.
