Helen Hook

Mrs. Helen B. Hook, 84, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday March 11, 2009 at her home, in La Porte, IN. She was born January 26, 1925 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the daughter of Albert Lamoureux and Fabianna LeFort Lamoureux, living in the LaPorte, area, since 1997, coming from Illinois. Helen worked as a kennel assistant for an animal clinic in Illinois for fifteen years. Helen loved to play bingo and animals, she also liked camping.. In the state of Rhode Island, she married James Hook, who preceded her in death in 1961. She is survived by her daughter, Bertha Raymond Vega, Five Grandchildren, Nine Great-grandchildren, Four Great-great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, James Hook, One Brother, Three Sisters, and One Great-grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Friday, March 13, 2009 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. Friday, March 13, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Roger Ash, officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
