Hazel Hubner

Hazel L. Hubner, 96, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday February 22, 2011 at Golden Living Center Fountainview. She was born November 10, 1914 in Westville, Indiana, the daughter of Christian Arndt and Marie Gotham Arndt. Hazel was a seamstress for thirty years working at Boris Smolers. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary of LaPorte, Indiana. Hazel enjoyed being a Grandma. On June 20, 1936, in LaPorte, IN, she married Herbert Hubner who preceded her in death November 14, 1989. She is survived by her daughter - Carolyn Ron Eigenmann of La Porte, IN; three grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Van Tilburg of La Porte, IN; several nieces and nephews. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters, and six brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A Memorial Service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday March 1, 2011 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating.
