Harvey Rardin

Harvey E. Rardin May 16, 1932-October 5, 2015 Mr. Harvey E. Rardin, 83, of Ocala, Florida, and formerly of LaPorte, passed away peacefully at home Monday October 5, 2015. Born in Hammond, Indiana, on May 16, 1932, he moved to Ocala from Weeki Wachee, FL two years ago. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Harvey served in the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He worked as a territory manager for a steel-building company. Harvey is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan E. Rardin; sons Lawrence E.(Connie) Rardin, William G. (Becky) Rardin, Gary M. (Lori) Rardin, Harvey "Hob" D. (Brigitte) Rardin; two brothers, Ronald B. (Susan) Rardin, and John E. (Sherry) Rardin; grandchildren, Dan, Katie, Tina, Michelle, Kylor, Zachary, Andy, Nicholas, Charlie, and Jack; great grandchildren, Luke, Tyler, Emma, Caroline, Connor, Kayleigh, Tucker. Harvey was preceded in death by his brother, James Rardin, and grandaughter, Holly. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN A graveside service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte on Saturday November 7, 2015 at 3:00 pm.
