Harry Marks

Mr. Harry D. Marks, age 79, of Seminole, Fla., died Friday, December 12, 2008, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla. He was born March 13, 1929 in South Wanatah, Ind. to the late Charles Marks and the late Ida Weisjahn Marks. Mr. Marks was an owner/operator of Harry's Sinclair Service Station which later became Harry's Arco at Indiana and Maple Ave. He lived in LaPorte Co., until 1996, when he moved to Seminole, Florida. In 1948, he married Barbara Levenhagen who preceded in death on 1986. In 1989 he remarried Rachel Anne Creel who survives. He is also survived by five daughters, Sandra William McWhirter, Susan Kevin Ren, Judy Jim Parks, Sherry Christopher Price, Terri Charles Faulkenburg all of LaPorte, Ind. Two Stepsons, Robert Carbon of Largo, Fl., Michael Carbon of Chicago, IL.; eight grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Barbara, sister Grace and Brother Harold. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2008 and from 9:00 AM Wednesday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2008, Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
