Harold Wehmeier

Mr. Harold R. Wehmeier, age 78, of La Porte, Ind., died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born May 11, 1930 in Westphalia, Ind. to the late William Wehmeier and the late Lydia Held Wehmeier. He has lived in the LaPorte area since 1947 coming from Westphalia, Ind. Mr. Wehmeier was employed by Teledyne Casting Service as a molder and retired in 1992 after 41 years of service On October 3, 1947 in Henderson, Kentucky he married Lois Swaby who survives. He is also survived by his Daughter, Mrs. Sherry Michael Juarez of Las Vegas, Nev.; Son, Mr. Ron Marcia Wehmeier of Branson West, Mo. Three Granddaughters, Katherine, Sunni, Christine; Sister, Mrs. Mildred Campbell of Carlisle, Ind. and Two Brothers, Mr. Roy Merlin Wehmeier of Muncie, Ind. and Mr. Ives Wehmeier of Sandborn, Ind. He is preceded in death by his parents One Brother and Three Sisters. Local arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM EDT Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Newkirk Funeral Home, Dugger, Ind. Funeral service will be at Newkirk Funeral Home at 2:00 PM EDT Thursday, May 15, 2008, Rev. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Interment will be at Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, Ind.
