Harold Perkins

Mr. Harold E. Perkins, age 70, of Walkerton, Ind., died Friday, October 31, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton, Ind. He was born on September 30, 1938 in Piper City, Ill to the late Charles Perkins and the late Mable Martin Perkins. He lived in the Walkerton, area, since 1970, coming from Otterbein, Ind. Mr. Perkins was Vice-President of Milburn Peat Co. for 21 years, and retiring in 1988. Harold loved and enjoyed his grandchildren and family very much. On June 6, 1959 in Ambia, Ind. he married Glenna Francis, who survives in Walkerton, Ind. He is also survived by; Two Sons, Brent Perkins of South Bend, Ind., Scott Perkins of Walkerton, Ind. Four Grandchildren, Megan Perkins, Lindsey Perkins, Katie Perkins, Madelaine Perkins and One Great grandchild, Zoe Smith. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, November 3, 2008. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, November 3, 2008, Rev. Ron Bell, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, Ind.
