Mr. Harold Raymond Lindwall, age 89, of La Porte, Ind., died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at 3:10 PM at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born on January 10, 1917 in Valparaiso, Ind. to the late Fred Lindwall and the late Bertha Nunn Lindwall and has lived in the LaPorte area most of his life. Mr. Lindwall was employed by NIPSCO as a lineman for 30 years and retired in 1976. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was also a member of the American Legion Post #83 for 48 years, Excelsior Lodge #41 F & AM for 50 years, Scottish Rite Valley of So. Bend for 50 years, Orak Temple, LaPorte Co for 50 years. Past Master's Assoc., Order of Eastern Star #280 of LaPorte, IN. On October 12, 1946 in Rolling Prairie, Ind. he married Neoma Ruth Hale who preceded in death March 9, 1996. He is survived by his Daughter, Mrs. Sandra Urbanski of La Porte, Ind.; Sons, Mr. Larry Lindwall of Michigan City, Ind.; Two Step-sons, Mr. Jimmie Hale of Cabool, Mo., Mr. Gene Hale of Cabool, Mo.; One Sister, Mrs. Mary Dickinson of La Porte, Ind.; Nine grandchildren, Fourteen great-grandchildren and One great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, One Brother Mr. William Lindwall; and Two Great Grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, July 7, 2006 and Noon Saturday until time of the service, a Masonic Service will be held 7:00 PM Friday at the Funeral home. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 8, 2006, Rev. Douglas Hadley officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. Military Honors will be conducted by the LaPorte American Legion and V.F.W. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, 2211 N.
