Gregory Krueger, 71, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away Friday August 2, 2024, at Hamilton Grove, in New Carlisle, IN.

He was born February 17, 1953 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of Ernest Krueger and Myrtle (Spires) Krueger.

Gregory grew up in New Buffalo, Michigan, spending most of his life there and in northern Indiana. On May 12, 2000, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married the love of his life, Dixie (Voorhees) Krueger, who survives. After marriage Gregory enjoyed traveling with his wife. Together they went on many trips to Florida and North Carolina, even a spontaneous trip to the Upper Peninsula, Michigan. Gregory worked as a machinist for Modineer before retirement. A certified car guy, he had a deep appreciation for Mopar vehicles, old Fords, and Corvettes. He could disassemble and reassemble cars effortlessly, a talent that led him to rebuild and sell numerous vehicles over the years. A true social butterfly, Gregory was very sociable and enjoyed hanging with his buddies and talking about the cars. He would also attend the car meets near him where he grew his circle of friends. He will be greatly missed by all who he has met.

Along with his wife of 24 years, Gregory is survived by his two sons, Scott Krueger of La Porte, IN, Joseph Krueger of Michigan City, IN; two daughters, Dawn Krueger of La Porte, IN, Sandra Williams of South Bend, IN; sister, Nancy Briar of Leavenworth, WA; niece, Michelle; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Krueger, and step-daughter, Rebecca Fellows.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. The family has selected cremation, with plans for a celebration of life at a later date.
