Gracie Roberts

Mrs. Gracie M. Roberts, age 73, of Kingsford Heights, Ind., died Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend, Ind. She was born August 20, 1933 in Drew MS to the late Jesse Hodges and the late Christine Relaford Hodges. She has lived in the Kingsford Heights area since 1957 coming from South Bend, Ind. Mrs. Roberts was employed as an assembly line worker by American Home Foods and was a member of Christ Temple Church of God in Christ in, South Bend, IN, and she loved the Lord. On June 30, 1956 in South Bend, Ind. she married Chester Roberts, Sr., who preceded in death November, 3, 1969. She is survived by her two daughters; Mrs. Christine Milton Butler of Elkhart, Ind., Dorcas Roberts of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sons; Mr. Chester Roberts, Jr. of Kingsford Heights, Ind., Mr. Timothy Joseph Stephanie Roberts of San Antonio, Texas; Five grandchildren; One great-grandchild; three sisters; Leah Hodges of Tulsa, Okla., McIver "Peggy" Hodges of South Bend, Ind., Patricia Hodges of Milwaukee, WI.; three brothers; Jesse Hodges, Jr. of South Bend, Ind., Paul Hodges of California, and Terry Hodges of South Bend, Ind. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, One Sister Ernestine Hodges and One Brother, Luster Hodges. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Christ Temple Church of God in Christ. Funeral service will be at, Christ Temple Church of God in Christ in South Bend, Ind., at 1:00 PM EST Saturday, November 4, 2006, Superintendent Leroy Sutton officiating.
