Glenn Buell

Mr. Glenn D. Buell, age 80, of La Porte, Ind., died 11:26 PM Saturday, October 11, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born May 30, 1928 in North Liberty, Ind. to the late Edwin D. Buell and the late Geraldine Ducat Buell. Mr. Buell was Vice President /cashier of The First National Bank. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, past president of the United Methodist Men, usher and treasurer of the First United Methodist Church. He was past president of the LaPorte Lions Club, member of the Salvation Army, Jaycees, and Beechwood Men's Club. He delivered Meals on Wheels, volunteer at La Porte Hospital, and a board member of Council on Aging. He was active in Babe Ruth Baseball in La Porte. He was an Avid Cubs and Yankees fan and loved to golf. He graduated from Rolling Prairie High School in 1946. On Aug. 28, 1949 in Rolling Prairie, Ind. he married Doris Hunsley who survives. He is also survived by his Daughter, Marty Jim Deal of Lowell, Ind.; Son, Doug Cindy Buell of La Porte, Ind., Three Grandchildren Adam K.C. Buell of Kingsford Heights, Ind., Aaron Buell of LaPorte, Ind., Kevin Karen Deal of Lowell, Ind.; Two Sisters, Rita Ault of La Porte, Ind., Gerry Minnick of Muncie, Ind.; One Brother, Lawrence Janis Buell of Indianapolis, Ind. He is preceded in death by his parents and One Brother Edwin D. Buell. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 14, 2008 and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of the Service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 15, 2008, Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, Ind.
