Mr. Glen D. Crites, 77, of Hamlet, Indiana, died Friday February 26, 2010 at La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. He was born May 2, 1932 in Lutesville, Missouri, the son of Osa Crites and Cora Elledge Crites. Glen worked as a crane operator for Ford Motor Co. for thirty years. He loved fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and family. On July 22, 1954, in Westville, IN, he married Cleo Davis Crites who survivies. He is also survived by his daughter, Jody Mark Lawson Bates of Hamlet, IN; two sons Darrell Sharon Crites of La Porte, IN, Gregory Patty Crites of Union Mills, IN; five grandchildren Todd Bates, Nicole Bates, Kelly Maule, Joel Crites, Stephenie Dreessen, six great grandchildren; two brothers Donald Crites of Kingsford Heights, IN, and Paul Crites of Independence, MO. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Truman Johnson, Clyde Crites, Clayton Crites and Leeman Crites. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, March 1, 2010 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Tuesday, March 02, 2010 1:00 pm until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday March 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dorothy Jones, and Rev. Richard Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, where the Kingsford Heights American Legion will conduct Military Service. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.N.A. Hospice, P.O.
