Gladys Stacy March 15, 1924-January 28, 2019 Gladys Stacy, 94, of La Porte, IN, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Millers Merry Manor-New Carlisle in New Carlisle, Indiana. She was born March 15, 1924 in Decoy, Kentucky, the daughter of Perry Stacy and Margaret (Mullins) Stacy. Gladys retired from Kingsley Furniture after working for 17 years. She was a member of the Meer Road United Baptist Church in Michigan City. Gladys enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. On July 14, 1945, in North Judson, Indiana, she married Robert Stacy who preceded in death April 23, 2008. She is survived by her three sons, Thomas (Kathy) Stacy of Union Mills, IN, James (Darlene) Stacy of Marysville, CA, Robert Stacy, Jr. of Hartsville, TN; daughter, Margaret "Peg" Stacy of La Porte, IN; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Perry Stacy of Lafayette, IN. Gladys was preceded in death by both her parents, son, Timothy Stacy, three sisters, Francis Keister, Polly Stacy, Janice Howard; two brothers, Joe Stacy, Paul Stacy. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Indiana. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home and Monday, February 4, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Meer Road United Baptist Church, 6211 N. 600 W., Michigan City, Indiana 46360. A life celebration will be held at Meer Road United Baptist Church, Monday, February 4, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Fred Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana.
