Gerald A. Lloyd June 9, 1938-January 14, 2010 Mr. Gerald A. Lloyd Jr., 71, of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday January 14, 2010 at his home. He was born June 9, 1938 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Gerald A. Lloyd Sr. and Vivian Baxter Lloyd. Gerald has live in the LaPorte/Stillwell area all of his life. Gerald was a private business owner and entrepreneur. He was a member of the First Apostolic United Pentecostal Church of LaPorte and the Stillwell Rod and Gun Club. Gerald loved spending time with his grandchildren, great nieces and nephews. He was a huge fan of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears and he spent time leaning and working on his computer. On December 12, 1992, in La Porte, IN, he married Ormae Lloyd who preceded him in death March 31, 2005. He is survived by his step-son Joe Alicia Eichberger Sr. of South Bend, IN; three grandchildren Joe Eichberger Jr., Katie Eichberger, Jacob Eichberger; one nephew Paul A. Dorene Lloyd of Mill Creek, IN; two nieces Kim Joe Peverelle of Bremen, IN, Nanon Padgett of La Porte, IN; three great-nephews Joe Peverelle Jr., Michael Peverelle, Paul C. Lloyd; three great-nieces Stacy Peverelle, Abigail Lloyd, Mary Lloyd; and a great family friend Joy Brown of New Carlisle, IN. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Sunday, January 17, 2010 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm & Monday, January 18, 2010 9:00 am until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday January 18, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Richard Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
