Mr. George Terrance "Terry" Cook, age 57, of La Porte, Ind., died11:20 AM Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at his Residence in La Porte, Ind. He was born Aug. 27, 1948 in Coulterville, Ill. to the late Glen D. "Cotton" Cook and the late Edna Marilyn "Dink" Wiseley Cook. He has lived in the LaPorte area for 23 years coming from Hobart, Ind. Mr. Cook was employed by E.C.I. Refinery, and later the Amoco-British Petroleum Refinery of Whiting, Ill. until he retired in 1998. He was with the Amoco-British Petroleum Refinery for 18 years. He Played the LaPorte Co. Tennis Tournament for several years, loved hunting, loved animals, loved the soil of farmland, loved his dog Tipper, and also loved fishing in Lake Michigan. He graduated from Hobart, Ind. High School in 1966. George married Betty Wallin of Hobart, Ind. that same year and served 4 years as a radar specialist with the U.S. Navy, where he was stationed on a guided missile frigate during the Vietnam War. Returning stateside, George completed his engineering degree at Purdue North Central and Purdue Calumet. On Aug. 2, 1997 in LaPorte, Ind. he married Carol Estes who survives she was his wife and companion for 25 years. He is also survived by One Sister, Mrs. Cheryl Grace of La Porte, Ind.; Two Brothers, Mr. Robert V. Margie Crosier, Jr. of Hobart, Ind., Mr. Kevin R. Susan Crosier of Los Angeles, Calif.; One Aunt Deloris Jean Masley of Watseka, Ill. and a Step Father, Robert V. Crosier Sr. of Hobart. Ind. He is preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday, August 5, 2006. Military Honors will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Saturday August 5, 2006 by the American Legion Post #83 and VFW Post #1130 of LaPorte, Ind.
