Gayle Steinhilber

Mrs. Gayle Lynn Steinhilber, 74, of Northbrook, Illinois, died Thursday January 28, 2010 at Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, IL. She was born March 11, 1935 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Larry Walters and Edith Maertz Walters and grew up in the LaPorte area. Gayle worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for a family owned business. She is survived by her two daughters Jamie Steinhilber of Columbia, SC, Jean Caulfield of Prospect Heights, IL; one son Jay Steinhilber of Gurnee, IL; three grandchildren, Nicholas Steinhilber of Gurnee, IL, Ryan Caulfield and Megan Caulfield both of Prospect Heights, IL. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeffery Steinhilber. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, February 1, 2010 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday February 1, 2010 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Ransom Ebersole, officiating. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
