Gary Pumroy

Mr. Gary D. Pumroy, age 56, of Kingsford Heights, IN, died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, IN, he was born August 24, 1948 in Gary, IN, to Lawrence Pumroy and Dorothy Salrin Pumroy, who has preceded. Also preceded in death is a son Mr. Robert A. Pumroy, and a brother, Mr. Jack Pumroy. Mr. Pumroy has lived most of his life in the LaPorte, area. On June 18, 1970 in Kingsbury, IN, he married Joy Ryder, who survives. Mr. Pumroy was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp. and was a member of Faith Fellowship Church of God. He was also a member of US Veteran of US Navy during Viet Nam. Moose Lodge of Knox, Indiana, Volunteer Fire Dept. of Kingsford-Union Volunteer Fire Dept. for several years. Sunday School teacher for several years. Little League Baseball Coach.. He Served in the Navy during Vietnam War. surviving is his wife Mrs. Joy Ryder Pumroy; of Kingsford Heights, IN, One Son, Mr. Jeremy Julie Pumroy of Marion, IN, One Daughter, Mrs. Casandra Brian Lipscomb of Kingsford Heights, IN, One Sister, Mrs. Penny Lew Derucki of Rolling Prairie, IN, Three Brothers, Mr. James Lois Pumroy of Goshen, IN, Mr. Larry Joe Mary Lou Pumroy of Monticello, IN, Mr. Barry Cheryl Pumroy of La Porte, IN, Three grandchildren, Danielle, Brock, Briane, one grandchild on the way, three aunts, several nieces and nephews Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at Haverstock Funeral Home. And from 10:00 AM, Thuresday, July 28, 2005, at the Wesleyan Church of Kingsford Heights, until time of service. Funeral service will be at Wesleyan Church of Kingsford Heights at 12:00 PM Thursday, July 28, 2005, with Pastor Jesse L. Moore officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. A Military Graveside Service will be conducted by the American Legion Post of Kingsford Heights, IN.
