Gary Bass

Mr. Gary B. Bass, 55, of Columbus, Indiana, died Tuesday January 18, 2011 at his home. He was born February 4, 1955 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Joe Bass and Patricia Justice Bass Gerrich. He had lived in LaPorte up to ten years ago, moving to Columbus, Indiana. Gary worked for Cummins in Columbus, Indiana He is survived by his mother, Patricia Gerrich of Columbus, IN; father, Joe Bass of LaPorte, IN. two brothers - Harold Cynthia Bass of La Porte, IN, Darold Rita Bass of Columbus, IN; three nieces; four nephews; one great niece, and one great nephew. Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Friday, January 21, 2011 from 1:00 pm, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday January 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Mills Cemetery, Union Mills, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Columbus, Indiana.
