Fred W. Schlundt October 20, 1948-June 20, 2015 Fred W. Schlundt, 66, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday June 20, 2015 at Kindred Hospital of Northern Indiana in Mishawaka, IN. He was born October 20, 1948 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Russell Schlundt and Betty (Harder) Schlundt. Fred was a self-employed salesman. He was a member of Door Village United Methodist Church . Fred enjoyed antiques and going to auctions, he loved NASCAR. Fred loved going to his grandchildren's ball games, and helping and supporting his grandchildren through the 4-H program. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. On August 29, 1970, in LaPorte, Indiana, he married Vickie (Krueger) Schlundt who survives. He is also survived by mother, Betty Schlundt of LaPorte, IN, son, Gregory (Tammy) Schlundt of La Porte, IN; two daughters, Jamie Schlundt of New Carlisle, IN, and Candace (Gary) Kautz of La Porte, IN; seven grandchildren, Jacob McVay, Bryce Perry, Ariel Schlundt, Zoey Kautz, Savannah Eslick, Garrett (Sarah) Kautz, Mallory Kautz; one sister, Lynn (Kevin) Rafferty of New Carlisle, IN, and one brother, Paul (Marge) Schlundt of Valparaiso, IN. Fred was preceded in death by his father. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday, June 26, 2015, from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday June 26, 2015 at 11:00 am with Deacon Farley Mullins, officiating.
