Frances E. Parker July 6, 1922 - April 5, 2018 Frances Parker, 95, of La Porte, passed away April 7th, 2018 at Golden Living Center / Fountainview in La Porte, In. She was born on July 17th, 1922. Frances married Forrest Parker in 1938, who preceded her in death in 1975. She is survived by one son, Fred Parker, of Boca Raton, FL. and several nieces and nephews. Another son, Tom Parker, preceded her in death, November 2015. Frances was retired from Purdue University in Michigan City, In. Frances enjoyed many years entertaining her friends with numerous encore performances of her organ playing, Karaoke singing, and above all, her lavish dinner parties. When not entertaining, she frequently enjoyed hobnobbing with her friends in the celebrity world. In her earlier years, she was frequently seen with famed entertainers Frank Sinatra, Liberace, and Wayne Newton, among many others. Frances is additionally credited with single handedly saving both her sons, Fred and Tom from a world of crime.Making sure they went to bed at night after finishing their homework, taking a bath, and saying their prayers. BOTH becoming extremely successful in life. A miracle in itself.. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. A private service will be conducted at a later date by the family. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home in La Porte, with burial in Pine Lake Cemetery.
