Frances Hedstrom

Frances E Hedstrom April 27, 1931-November 2, 2013 Mrs. Frances E Hedstrom, 82, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, died Saturday November 2, 2013 at her home in Rolling Prairie, IN. Frances and Norman had lived in Winamac, Indiana for 10 years, then moved to Rolling Prairie for the remainder of their years. She was born April 27, 1931 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of William Reese Parker and Wilhemina J. (Claussen) Parker. Frances worked as a secretary for twenty-five years at American Rubber Products. She was a member of Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church, thirty three year member of Rolling High AA group, "Best Years Group" of Rolling Prairie, and Yana Club of LaPorte.. She liked to e-mail out inspirational devotions to members of her AA group. She enjoyed her cat "George", and enjoyed reading. Frances loved being with her family and friends, and she was a great mentor. Special thanks to South Bend Memorial Hospital, Southern Care Hospice, and Miller's Merry Manor and Haverstock Funeral Home. On June 5, 1948, in LaPorte, IN, she married Norman R Hedstrom who preceded in death August 24, 2007. She is survived by her four daughters - Linda (Robert) Shaw of Knox, IN, Holly (Calvin) Jenks of Knox, IN, Julie Laymon of Hamlet, IN, Susan Hedstrom of Rolling Prairie, IN; six grandchildren - Carl Jenks, Cynthia Farmer, Lori Hamlin, Jeff Albertson, Bryan Albertson, Sarah Hedstrom; three great-grandchildren - Jeffery Albertson, Alan Farmer, and Ashley Farmer. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three grandchildren, Lisa Henoch, and Craig Jenks, and Timothy Hedstrom, three sisters, Evelyn Bach, Audry Pasky,and Infant Fern Parker. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN The family will receive friends at the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church, Saturday November 9, 2013 at 10:30 am with Pastor Debbie Beason officiating.
