Felisa Price, 94, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Brickyard Care Center-La Porte.

She was born July 12, 1930 in Granite City, Illinois, the daughter of Martin Carrera and Dolores (Galvan) Carrera.

After living in St Louis, MO, until her teen years, Felisa moved to La Porte in 1943. She married Donald Price, who preceded her in death, November 20, 1968. Felisa was an excellent seamstress and she worked for Kingsley's until her retirement in 1995. She was a spiritual woman and an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church, La Porte. Felicia was an avid reader, enjoying mysteries and thrillers. She tended to her beautiful flower gardens and especially enjoyed the mums. Her children loved her cooking, always eager to try her lasagna, tacos and cheesecake. Shopping was her passion and she and her daughter would spend the whole day at it, even skipping lunch. Felisa worked her crossword puzzles daily to keep her mind alert and she had a special cactus collection, loving them so much, she "wanted to come back as a cactus". Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life, and she will be greatly missed by them and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Felisa is survived by her three sons, Donald Ray (Janna) Price Jr. of La Porte, IN, Michael Price of Denver, CO, Mark Price of Mishawaka, IN; daughter, Deborah (Refuge) Curtis of La Porte, IN; daughter-in-law, Debbie Price of La Porte; five sisters, Vickie (Butch) Howard, Joyce Ball, Dolores Foster, Cathy (Larry) Scholl, Ramona (Bill) Clark; two brothers, Jose Luis (Flo) Carrera, Jesse Carrera; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with her husband, Donald, Felisa was preceded in death by her son, John Steven Price, siblings, Carmen, Matilda, Marilyn, David, Felix, Mary, Martin Jr, and Angel.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. Cremation has been selected. Calvary Baptist Church will hold a memorial service in her honor at 1:00 P.M. on April 19, 2025.
