Evelyn Heminger

Mrs. Evelyn V. Price Heminger, age 87, of La Porte, Ind., died Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Ind. She was born on December 18, 1920 in Bemidji, Minn.to late Harry Price and the late Nora Grotte Heminger-O'Dell. She lived in Hudson Lake, IN for 43 years, Mission, TX for 20 years and in the LaPorte, area, for 5 1/2 years. Mrs. Heminger was a homemaker. She was a member of Hudson Lake Conservation Club, Hudson Lake Ruralettes, 4-H Leader, Brownie Leader, Thousand Trails Camp Membership and Sons of Norway. On August 17, 1939 in Bemidji, MN, she married Louis G. Heminger, who preceded, April 13, 2005. She is survived by her; Four Daughters, Mrs. Laurel Sanders of Fairbault, Minn., Mrs. Judith Charles Cullins of Nickalas, Ky., Mrs. Marilyn Reed of Fruitland Park, Fla., Mrs. Janice Steve Radford of Michigan City, Ind.; Two Sons, Mr. John Dottie Heminger of Auburn, Ind.Mr. Patrick Heminger of New Carlisle, Ind.; Fourteen grandchildren and Twenty Three great-grandchildren. She preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Louis G. Heminger; Step-father, Chester O'Dell; Brother, James Price; Three Sisters, Marjie St. Peter, Jackie Hamilton, Eileen Price; One Grandson, Todd Sanders and One Great-Grandaughter, Candace Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, November 15, 2008. Memorial service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 15, 2008 , Rev. Willliam Fine, officiating. Burial of ashes will be Held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, Ind. following the service.
