Ethel M. Kuhn, 99, of Carmel, Indiana, formerly of LaPorte, IN., died Sunday December 13, 2009 at Carmel Health Living Nursing Home. She was born May 30, 1910 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Ludlof Sibbersen and Velma Witherell Sibbersen, living in the LaPorte area, since 1951, coming from Ohio Ethel worked for the LaPorte Sanitation Dept. as a bookkeeper and also worked as a clerk for the LaPorte County Treasurers Office. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church of LaPorte and sang in the church choir and she enjoyed bridge clubs. She was married to Leonard Schuster for thirty-three years who preceded her in death in 1959. She was married to Kenneth Miller for twenty-two years and he preceded her in death in 1984. On March 26, 1991, in Las Vegas, NV she married Roland Kuhn who preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her son, Ronald Fay Schuster of Benton, KY; daughter, Joyce Richard Forrest of Lake Tomahawk, WI; three step-sons, Kenneth Jean Miller of Carmel, IN, Tom Linda Kuhn of La Porte, IN, Steve Jan Kuhn of La Porte, IN.; two grandchildren, four great-grandsons, several great-great grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and three brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm & at the Bethany Lutheran Church on Friday, December 18, 2009 from 9:30 am, until time of services. Services will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, Friday December 18, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
