Ethel Koeppen

Mrs. Ethel B. Koeppen, age 105, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., formerly of LaPorte, Ind. died Friday, November 14, 2008, at her son's residence in Port Saint Lucie, Fla. She was born on October 8, 1903 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Andrew Hutton and the late Elsie Webster Hutton. She had lived in the Port Saint Lucie, FL. area for 18 years coming from Bloomington, Ind., area. Mrs. Koeppen had been employed by her son's veterinary practice, as a bookkeeper. She was a Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. On December 1, 1923 in LaPorte, Ind., she married Harry Koeppen, who preceded September 27, 1984. She is survived by her; One Son, Dr. Harry E. Koeppen of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; Two grandchildren and Two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Harry Koeppen; Sister, Ruth Feece; Sister, Nina Greer; Brother, Lloyd Hutton; Brother, Wayne Hutton. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Haverstock Funeral Home in LaPorte, Ind. The funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 20, 2008 , with Rev. Evan Lash, officiating. Burial will be at Door Village Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
