Esther Pawlikowski

Mrs. Esther Louise Pawlikowski, 91, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday November 5, 2011 at Settlers House in La Porte. She was born January 5, 1920 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of William Schweder and Clara (Messmann) Schweder. Esther was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and Circle 8 of the church. Esther enjoyed bowling. She especially loved spending time with her grandaughter and great-grandaughter. On May 13, 1950, in LaPorte, IN, she married Stanley Pawlikowski who preceded her in death November 15, 1993. She is survived by her son - Michael (Debra) Pawlikowski of La Porte, IN; one grandchild - Chrystal (Jedidiah) Ziegler of La Porte, IN; and one great grandchild - Geneva Ziegler; sister - Betty Towle of La Porte, IN, and sister-in-law - Hazel Schweder of Walkerton, IN. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Carol Pawlikowski, two sisters, Marie McAllister, Verna Schadowski, four brothers, Harold Schweder, Lester Schweder, Frank Schweder, and one infant brother. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 10:00 am, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday November 9, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
