Ernest Nash

Ernest Eugene "Bill" Nash, 85, of Kingsford Heights, IN, passed away on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born March 29, 1926 in Sullivan Co, Indiana, the son of Vern A. Nash and Dorothie A. (Beatty) Nash. Ernest worked 39 years in aeronautics for Bendix Corp, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Mason's for 50 plus years and also a member of the Kingsford Heights American Legion. Ernest lived part-time in Florida after retirement. He enjoyed playing guitar, and traveling. He liked going to garage sales and his dog "Baby". Ernest was well loved and an excellent father. On July 24, 1949, in Jasonville, IN, he married Anna Mae Dayton Nash who survives. He is also survived by his son - Anthony (Teresa) Nash of Kingsford Heights, IN; daughter - Sandra (Vincent) Krueger of La Porte, IN; one grandchild - Susan Daniels of Kingsford Heights, IN. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Lester Nash, Carlton Nash, Kenneth Nash, Milbern Nash, Lloyd Nash, three sisters, Mildred DeCuis, Myrtle Nash, Violet Bed well. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Friday, May 06, 2011 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Saturday, May 07, 2011 from 9:00 am, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday May 7, 2011 at 11:00 am with Victor M. Frohne officiating.
