Ely Palandech

Mr. Ely M. Palandech, age 90, of La Porte, Ind., died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born on May 21, 1918 in Sacramento, Calif. to the late Samuel Palandech and the late Latka Zlatka Milishich. He had lived in the LaPorte, Ind. area, since 1945, coming from Sacramento, Calif. Mr. Palandech was employed by Indiana Molding & Frame and also worked at Modine Mfg. and for the LaPorte Community Schools. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of LaPorte, Ind. He was a Veteran of the US Army Air Corp. during WW II, he was in the African, Sicily, and Italy Campaigns. LaPorte Elks Lodge #396, Men's Club of St. Paul's, he held various offices at the church. On July 1, 1950 in LaPorte, Ind., he married Mary Josephine Rahfeldt, who preceded, August 31, 2003. He is survived by; Numerous Nieces and Nephews He is preceded by his; Father, Samuel Palandech; Mother, Latka Zlatka Milishich; Wife, Mary Josephine Palandech; Two Brothers, Rodd Palandech and Alex Palandech. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, September 22, 2008. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, September 22, 2008, with Rev. Helen Nusbaum and Rev. Victor M. Frohne, officiating.
