Elmer C. Swanson Jr. 'Swede' October 29, 1928 - November 25, 2015 Elmer C. Swanson Jr. age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Swede is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeanna Swanson; children, Susan Ebert, Mark D. (Georgia) Swanson and Debbie Swanson; grandchildren, Kimberly and Karen Ebert, Jeremy Schroeder, Lynndsey and Bryce Swanson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer C. and Mabel (Gust) Swanson and sisters, Mary Jane Foreman and Evelyn Johnson. Swede married Jeanna Wilhelm on December 21, 1957 at the Presbyterian Church in La Porte. Swede served in the Korean War. He owned and operated Swanson's TV Sales and Service from 1966-1993. He was a lifetime member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Swede was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Services held privately by the family. Swede was laid to rest at Carmel Cemetery, La Porte, IN.
