Ella Clark

Ella M. Clark, age 87, of La Porte, Ind., died 11:25 AM Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born January 3, 1921 in Union Mills, Ind. to the late Ralph VanScoik and the late Angie Reeves VanScoik. She has lived in the LaPorte and Union Mills area all of her life. Mrs. Clark was employed by Allis Chalmers for 20 years and then 10 years at the First Christian Church. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Union Mills, Ind.; Presbyterian Church, Afternoon Circle; Presbyterian Women; LaPorte Extension Homemakers Assoc. Noble Twp.. On October 7, 1972 in LaPorte, Ind. she married Fred H. Clark who preceded in death June 25, 2000. She is survived by her Daughters, Donna J. Kalsow of LaPorte, Ind.; Step-Daughter-Gina L. Bicknese of Ballwin, Mo.; Son, Donald R. Gemberling of LaPorte, Ind.; Step-son Robert L. Clark of Trenton, Mo.; Sister, Ellen E. Hundt of Union Mills, Ind.; Two grandchildren, Kristine M. Miller of LaPorte, Ind., Roger Gemberling of Columbus, Ind.; and Three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; Grandson, Danny Gemberling; and one Sister. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM Friday, February 29, 2008 and from 1:00 PM until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 1, 2008, Pastor John E. Beehler officiating. Interment will be at Union Mills Cemetery in Union Mills, Ind.
