Elizabeth Carlson

Mrs. Elizabeth C. Carlson, 91 of Michigan City, Indiana, died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at The Arbors of Michigan City. She was born May 28, 1917 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Benjamin Griffin and Liza Griffin. Elizabeth worked as a Payroll Controller for Union Tank Car in Chicago, IL., she retired at the age of Sixty-Five. She is survived by her Daughter, Karen Biege of Sister Bay, WI, Three Grandchildren, Pamela Biege,, Robert Biege and Kathie Albano, Three Great-grandchildren, Nichole, David and Robert. Elizabeth was preceded in death by mother; Liza Griffin, father; Benjamin Griffin; son, Ralph Biege; two brothers, Mickey Griffin and Jack Griffin. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind.where the family will receive friends on Thursday, January 29, 2009 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Haverstock Funeral Home with Rev. Dan McDonald, officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
