Elizabeth Altera Britton October 30, 1931-February 14, 2016 Mrs. Elizabeth Altera Britton, 84, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Sunday February 14, 2016 with her loving family at her side. She was born October 30, 1931 in Walkerton, Indiana, the daughter of Clifford Wallace and Helen (Thornburg) Wallace. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. On May 22, 1954, in La Porte, IN, she married John Britton who preceded in death September 21, 2013. She is survived by her three sons, John E. (Jeneene) Britton Jr., Gary (Tari) Britton, Allan Britton; two Grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeffery) Irk, Stephen (Edith) Britton; four Great Grandchildren, Ava Britton, Lucas Britton, Lilianna Irk, and Elaina Irk. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Charles Wallace, Melvin Wallace, and Two Half-Sisters. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, February 18, 2016, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday, February 19, 2016, 9:00 am - 10:00 am at the Assembly of God Church. A life celebration will be held at the Church Friday February 19, 2016 at 10:00 am with Pastor Jeff Hines officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
