Elease Willoughby

Mrs. Elease C. "Peaches" Willoughby, 78, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday February 7, 2009 at the Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte, IN. She was born January 6, 1931 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, the daughter of Newt McCarver and Artie V. Stone McCarver. Elease worked as a Machine Operator for American Rubber and retired in 1979 after 20 years of service. She was a very active member of the Tracy United Methodist Church. On August 28, 1948, in Crawfordsville, IN, she married Roy L. Willoughby who preceded in death Aug. 12, 1978. She is survived by her son, Larry L. Jennifer Willoughby of La Porte, IN, grandson, Larry JameyWilloughby of Valparaiso, IN, granddaughter, Mandi Steve Ely of St. Augustine, FL, great-grandson, Noah Willoughby, and a great-granddaughter, Madison Willoughby . Elease was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, February 10, 2009 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., February 10, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Robert Coolman officiating. Interment will follow in the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
