Elaine A. Kronewitter April 25, 1937-January 22, 2016 Elaine A. Kronewitter, 78, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away Friday January 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Ralph and Wreta Bassett on April 25, 1937 in LaGrange, Indiana. She was a 1955 graduate of Scott High School and then became a licensed Cosmetologist. On March 15, 1958, in Bristol, IN, she married the love of her life, Paul who survives. She is also survived by children, Paula (Tim) Wheatbrook, Kirk Kronewitter, Tina Keene and Kip (Amber) Kronewitter: grandchildren, Derek (Kelley)Williams, Ryan (Monica) Williams, Brad Keene, Kiersten (Christina) Keene, Charlie , Morrigan, Greyden, Aubrey and Kylee Kronewitter, Zach Nelson; five great grandchildren; sister, Marilyn (late Dave) Anderson and many dear friends. Preceded in death by sisters, Charlotte Miller, Jane Eash and Martha Lou Lee and brother, Charles Bassett. Elaine loved taking long walks on the beach with Paul while stationed at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California. She enjoyed her garden, traveling and her dogs. Elaine was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 12 :00 PM at the Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belford Rd.
