Edna Truex

The funeral for Mrs. Edna M. Truex, 85, of 33764 Gordon Rd., New Carlisle, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at North Liberty Church of the Brethren with Rev. David Pinkham officiating. She died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at 6:40 a.m. at Miller?s Merry Manor, New Carlisle. Friends may call at the Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Memorial contributions may be made to North Liberty Church of the Brethren-Wilbur Rupel Scholarship Fund. She was born July 7, 1919, in St. Joseph County, to Orville E. and Lodema E. Long Houser. Mrs. Truex was a member of North Liberty Church of the Brethren and was a homemaker. On April 12, 1941, in North Liberty, she married Lester E. Truex, who preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Mike Dzierla of Russiaville, Ind., Linda Paul Neidlinger of La-Porte, and Jan Bernie Macias of New Carlisle; one son, Larry Thelma of New Carlisle; 12 grandchildren; one step-grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
