Edna Gale

Mrs. Edna A. Gale, age 88, of La Porte, Ind., died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at 9:40 PM at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born July 4, 1917 in Joliet, Ill. to the late John Horschler and the late Bertha Feltz Horschler. She has lived in the LaPorte area for 10 years coming from Morris, Ill. Mrs. Gale was a homemaker and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Joliet, Ill. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and vegetable gardening. On Sept 5, 1937 in Joliet, Ill she married Leo Gale who has preceded in death. She is survived by her Three Daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Fred Lambert of Gary, Ind., Mrs. Esther Mulholland of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Phyllis Michael Hagstad of Great Cacapon, W. Va.; One Son, Mr. Lee Irene Gale of Monticello, Ill.; Seventeen grandchildren; Twenty Six great-grandchildren; Six great-great grandchildren; Three Sisters, Mrs. Gladys Martin of Dickson, Ill., Mrs. Ruth Ross of Shanwano, Wis., Mrs. Ethel Peterson of Joliet, Ill.; and One Brother, Mr. Arthur Marge Horschler of Joliet, Ill. She is preceded in death by her parents; Three Brothers, Mr. Clarence Horschler, Mr. Milton Horschler, Mr. John Horschler: and Two Sisters, Agnes and Eleanor. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 6:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2006, Rev. David Young officiating. Interment will be 11:00 AM Saturday May 20, 2006 at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Joliet, Ill. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Joliet, Ill. 60431.
