Edith Hedge

Edith R. Hedge September 15, 1923-August 17, 2017 Mrs. Edith R. Hedge, 93, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Thursday August 17, 2017 at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, IN. She was born September 15, 1923 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of William Badkey and Frieda (Conrad) Badkey. Edith was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, and past member of the Pinola Grange. Edith was a loving mother. On November 26, 1942, in Marietta, GA, she married John S. Hedge, who preceded her in death February 2, 2004. She is survived by her son, William (Mary) Hedge of La Porte, IN.; daughter, Cynthia Hedge of LaPorte, IN. and three nieces. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Phillip Lee Hedge, an infant daughter, sister, Anita Schultz, and brother, Ross Badkey. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A private family graveside service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating.
