Earline Evans

Mrs. Earline W. Evans, 97, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday October 30, 2009 at Golden Living Center-Countryside in LaPorte. She was born September 14, 1912 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Earl Ribbe and Laura Krumm Ribbe. Earline had worked for LaPorte Woolen Mills and was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, V.F.W. Post 1130 LaPorte. She enjoyed traveling and dining out. Earline also enjoyed taking fall color tours of LaPorte County. On November 4, 1939, in LaPorte, IN, she married Jack M. Evans who preceded her in death April 16, 1994. She is survived by many friends. Earline was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers, Donald and William Ribbe. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, November 2, 2009 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Tuesday, November 3, 2009 9:00 am, until time of services. Service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday November 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
