Earl Huffman

Mr. Earl D. Huffman, age 56, of La Porte, Ind., died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at his residence, La Porte, Ind. He was born on January 7, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan to Ezra Huffman and Claire St. Peirre Huffman of Homer, Alaska. Mr. Huffman has lived most of his life in the LaPorte area, coming from Michigan. Mr. Huffman was a member of Local #374 in Hammond, IN, Boiler Makers. He Loved fishing, mushroom hunting, co-ed soft-ball. Took his family on wonderful vacations. He is also survived by his, One Daughter, Brittany Huffman of La Porte, Ind. One Son, Evan Huffman of La Porte, Ind. Five Sisters, Kathy Mike Medcoff of Alaska, Diane Dave Somers of Alaska, Cindy Todd of Alaska, Denise Alberto Alacar of California, Fran Nick Jones of Alaska, several Nieces and Nephews, and Four grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 29, 2008 and from 9:00 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2008, until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2008 , with Rev. Dan McDonald, officiating. Interment will be at Carmel Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
