Mr. Earl Collins, age 80, of Rolling Prairie, Ind., died 8:45 AM Thursday, September 21, 2006, at his residence in Rolling Prairie, Ind. He was born September 16, 1926 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late William Collins and the late Willie Miller Collins. Mr. Collins was employed by U. S. Steel Corp. and was a member of First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie. He was also a Veteran of the US Army during WW II and a member of the V.F.W. of Knox, Indiana. On July 11, 1947 in Kentucky he married Flora Adams who survives. He is also survived by his Two Sons, Mr. Larry Michelle Collins of McKinney, Texas, Mr. Dennis Joyce Collins of Rolling Prairie, Ind.; Six grandchildren; Three great-grandchildren; One Sister, Mrs. Wanda Mann of Greenup, Ky.; Two Brothers, Mr. Jack Collins of Knox, Ind. and Mr. Clem Collins of Duquion, Ill. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Parents, Two Sisters and Four Brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, September 24, 2006 and Monday from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, September 25, 2006 , Bro. Ransom Ebersole officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Prairie Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, Ind. Military Honors will be conducted by the Rolling Prairie V.F.W. at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie, 113 W. Michigan St., Rolling Prairie. IN. 46371.
